TITANIUM RING VS TUNGSTEN RING VS GOLD RING
TITANIUM RING
WEIGHT:
Very light: Titanium rings are extremely light as Titanium enjoys the highest strength-to-weight ratio of any metal. If you're not used to wearing a ring or wedding band, Titanium is the perfect choice.
DURABILITY:
Very hard: Titanium is considered to be one of the hardest metals available and used in various applications such as fighter planes and space shuttles. It is considered to be more crack resistant than Tungsten.
SAFETY:
It's a common misconception that a Titanium ring cannot be cut off during an emergency. This is simply not true. Emergency services can easily remove a Titanium ring if need be.
RESIZING:
A Titanium ring cannot be resized but is cost effective enough to be replaced should you need to.
COST:
Affordable: Both Titanium and Tungsten rings are considered to be cost effective compared to precious metals such as Gold, Silver and Platinum. The cost of the item will be directly related to the design of the wedding band.
TUNGSTEN RING
WEIGHT:
Very heavy: Due to the dense nature of Tungsten carbide, it makes for a heavy ring. You might take some time getting used to wearing such a heavy wedding band.
DURABILITY:
Very hard: Tungsten rings are extremely hard. It is considered one of the hardest metals in existance. While more scratch resistant than Titanium rings, Tungsten is brittle and therefore can break more easily.
SAFETY:
As with Titanium, a Tungsten ring can be removed if the situation calls for it. Due to its brittle nature, it can be cracked or broken in order to be removed.
RESIZING:
A Tungsten ring cannot be resized but is cost effective enough to be replaced should you need to.

GOLD RING
WEIGHT:
Medium to heavy: The weight of a Gold ring is very much dependant on the carat of the ring. An 18ct Gold wedding band will be heavier than similar design 9ct Gold wedding band.
DURABILITY:
Soft: The carat of the Gold plays a big part in the durability of the ring. 9ct Gold is stronger and more durable while 18ct Gold softer and more maluable than other metals.
SAFETY:
While a Gold ring is soft and can easily be cut off, it remains maluable which means it can clamp down on a finger. In our opinion it is not as safe as a Tungsten or Titanium ring.
RESIZING:
A Gold ring or wedding band can very easily be resized.
COST:
Expensive: Gold is considered a precious metal and therefore is costly. Many currencies are closely connected to the Gold price and it's often used as an investment tool. While Gold wedding bands are a popular choice, you cannot do away with the higher price.
